A pleasant fairly easy walk mostly quite open with good views of Corfe Castle and the surrounding countryside. The diagonal path across the field from the Castle towards Bucknowle House was invisiblele but there is a sign on a gate at the bottom of the slope on the other side of the field. The next stretch along the river was pretty overgrown but quite passable. There is a bit of a climb from the attractive Blashenwell Farm up to Kingston but the views make it worthwhile.
In 1833 John Scott the first Earl of Eldon built what is now known as the Old Church which was designed by his son-in-law, George Repton. The walk passes this church, now a somewhat dilapidated looking private residence, and then turns east across the fields to join up with the Purbeck Way and then back into Corfe Castle.
