It was very misty when as we approached Six Penny Handley but it soon lifted and we had a lovely sunny day for much of the walk. The tracks leading towards Shemel Gate did not seem to exactly match those on the map but it is easy enough as they are running parallel to the road. There are some lovely old beech trees in Chase Wood, reminiscent of Kingston Lacy. A good walk with a mix of fields and woodland.

As it was holiday time we walked up past Knighton House School. Reasonably easy route to follow but a little tricky after Milton Lane where the path should run just west of the woods. Good variety of woodlands and fields with open views across countryside.
