A fairly easy route to follow but it would be wise to follow the road around Morgan’s Wood. Blackfern Plantation is muddy and full of blackberry bushes. There would have been some nice views but unfortunately it was so misty that Rob described it as “like walking around in a Tupperware box.”

The first part of this walk is not very inspiring as it runs along concrete paths by a pig farm but after that things improve considerably. It was rather wet day but a small wood choppers' shelter provided some limited protection at coffee time.
